Last Days in Havana / 'Ultimas dias en la Habana' – new Cuban feature film screened for the first time in the UK:
More than 30 artists from ten countries will participate in the first international electronic music festival Eyeife, which will take place in Havana September 26 to 30.
First of all I confess that I am not a specialist in the subject of computer games. Top Cuban actor Luis Alberto Garcia has published his wry but impassioned response in Cuban cultural magazine La Jiribilla to US president Trump's announcement in a theatre in Florida about the future of Cuba-US relations.
Born into a family of exceptional dancers, and despite the fact that none of them were musicians, from an early age Maykel Blanco enjoyed hearing music played on the radio or television. At 15 years of age he started his first amateur band, and by 18 was already directing his first professional group, La Suprema Ley. Since then Maykel has been working with this, and his most recent group, Maykel Blanco y su Salsa Mayor.
The 37th Edition of the Caribbean Festival began on Monday in Santiago de Cuba with the participation of 700 representatives from over 20 countries. This year the festival is dedicated to the island of Bonaire.
The 1st edition of the Festival called "Arte Soy" ('I am Art') organized by the Hermanos Saiz Association (AHS) in Ciego de Avila province began in June with a condemnation of the US economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba.
