Organizing committee vice-president Omar Felipe told reporters that culture and the development of spiritual values of the nation, the contribution to civil education and the struggle against banality and pseudo-artistic manifestations were among the issues most debated at provincial UNEAC assemblies as a process prior to the Congress.
Other important topics included the need to strengthen community work and popular culture, as well as the preservation of local heritage.
Five commissions are working on subjects such as education, culture, society, arts, market, mass media and others relevant to the performance of the artists´ association.
