To Dance Like a Man – film about Cuban triplets becoming ballet dancers

Sylvie Collier's film about the talented, identical Cuban triplets To Dance Like A Man will be broadcast on Sky Arts 2 and Sky Arts 2 HD on FRIDAY, TODAY, April 11th at 6.40pm.
Identical triplets Angel, César and Marcos, age 11, share the same passion: to become great ballet dancers. And each wants to be picked for an important ballet in Havana, Cuba. Who will be chosen? Their teachers at the world-renowned National Ballet School of Cuba say all three triplets have equal talent, potential and determination to become the first trio of identical boys to achieve stardom. This film offers a rare perspective on what it takes to achieve professional success in the context of Cuba's surprising international impact on development of great dancers.

Cuban Art Factory: Making dreams come true

"Let us be realistic, let us make the impossible," expressed Che. The well-known Cuban musician, X Alfonso has followed this maxim as a faithful student. Starting from the naturalness that characterizes him, he has conceived a highly complicated project. It was a beautiful dream, but it actually seemed a pipe dream. Today, however, it is a reality.
Defined by X himself as an avant-garde Contemporary Cultural Movement, the Fábrica de Arte Cubano (Cuban Art Factory, F.A.C. in Spanish) is a diverse, modern, authentic and exclusive socio-cultural plaza among its kind. Music, movies, dance, painting, photography, fashion, architecture, design, performance, sculpture, video-art, theater, literature, new technologies, academic exchanges, community projects and much more come together in the same space at the same time, because its creators are still dreaming high.
