Sexto Sentido formed over 10 years ago as teenagers, and have recently been performing in Switzerland and other European countries. Their name translates as 'Sixth Sense'. They are an all female group of vocalists and musicians.
The harmony of their voices is based on years of intensive training at the prestigous Cuban Music Conservatory Amadeo Roldán in Havana. Their wide range of music includes Cuban, Brazilian, Latin-American and international songs – a mixture of smooth Latin-Jazz, contemporary R&B, Soul (¨Feeling¨) and Bossa Nova – combined with Cuban Salsa and Son elements. After their first awards at the renowned Havana Music Festivals (e.g. JO-JAZZ 2001, JAZZ PLAZA 2004 and CUBADISCO 2007) they became the leading entity of vocal harmony in Cuba. In 2004 they made their first record ¨Bossa Cubana¨, a collection of classic Brazilian songs with Cuban elements. Since then they became known in Cuba due to their frequent presence at Radio and TV.
