Weber, a renowned Swiss movie maker, said that the election included over 1.200 candidate cities from 220 countries, out of which an expert panel chose the final 28 candidates that were taken down to only 14 and then to seven.
The new 7 wonder cities of the world is the third initiative by New7Wonders, which previously elected seven monuments and seven natural areas.
