There is also an exhibition at the Fábrica de Arte Cuban cultural project with images of works created by 24 designers participating in this event. The images reveal a diversity of approaches and more cohesive working between the designer, visual artist and photographer.
The catwalk show, the most popular event in Arte y Moda, takes place at the National Museum of Fine Arts November 13 to 16 with costume designs made of recycled materials, metals and plenty of colour.
Fro the last four years, Arte y Moda has become a biennial event in which the designers bring some work of visual arts to their designs. Since its foundation, prominent Cuban visual artists have joined the project. They include Alfredo Sosabravo, Flora Fong and Cosme Proenza.
