Cuban metal will be very well represented by bands from all over the country among which we can find Ancestor, Escape, Rice and Beans, and Combat Noise, which will be presenting its new album during the festival on February 15.
On the other hand, Max Yuris Avila Campo, director of the Cuban Rock Agency described the event as a window to show what is being done in the country regarding rock music. She thanked the support of the local institutions in every province they have visited as well as the media. Max Yuris also talked about the big international repercussion of the festival not only in the written press but also in Web sites.
As a collateral activity there will be the Tattoo's Party at the venue of the festival (Maxim Rock) on February 14, 15 and 24 at 4pm. During these days from 5 to 7 tattoo artists will be presenting their works live, as well as photographic exhibitions, all related to the art of tattooing.
Having the collaboration of the Cuban Music Institute, the Brutal Fest is the only festival of extreme music in the island with an international and itinerant nature. It is also sponsored by the French Embassy in Cuba, L'Institut français, Havana Club International, Cuba Autrement and Los Portales and since 2008 it has become one of the most important musical events in Cuba.
