Along with the important Cuban composer, Latin Grammy nominees in that classic category are Tania Leon "Inura," a piece for voices, strings and percussion, Aurelio de la Vega with "Prelude No. 1," and Elizabeth Rebozo with "Seducción" (Seduction), written by Yalil Guerra and recorded by the pianist.
Brouwer is in competition for the 2012 Latin Grammy with "Quartet No 4 – Rem Tene Verba Sequentur" (Know the matter and the word to follow the will), by Zoho Music label, recorded by the Havana String Quartet.
The Latin Grammy Award ceremony will take place on November 15 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, in the United States.
