Members of Sheffield Socialist Choir first met up with Música Áurea at the biennial choral festival in Santiago in 2003. They set up the 'Voces de Cuba' project to bring them to the UK in June 2012. It is a cultural exchange assisted by Sheffield City Council and Sheffield University and they are with schools, youth choirs, classical and community choirs to organise workshops and performances.
Musica Aurea is expected to visit Sheffield, Edinburgh, Leeds, Nottingham, Bury, London.
