Osmel Francis, director of the band said that the Project brings together different artistic manifestations related to the environment preservation tasks. That is why this Ecological encounter started with the opening of the exhibition 'Guayaberas de un cubano ecologista', which showed 17 images by well known artists of the visual arts such as Zaida del Río and Nelson Domínguez.
Among the dates remembered are the anniversary of the death of the scientist Antonio Núñez Jiménez and the birth of Alejandro de Humboldt, with a performance in the Lenin vocational school.
The day was dedicated to the preservation of the ozone layer, with a concert in the former Santa Fe Casino, the current seat of 'Cubanos en la Red'. The presentation incuded the participation of Buena Fe, Gente de Zona and Baby Lores.
Next week, Cubanos en la Red and the Acualina project invite people to participate in a healing campaign in the Playa municipality. Under the slogan 'To save the World, clean your area', organizers are calling the people to clean important places found along the 17 kilometers of the Havana coast.
