
Nominations of several artists and albums from the Cuba were announced this week for the 2025 Latin Grammy Awards.
The Cuban Institute of Music (ICM) emphasized on its Facebook page that Cuba once again proves to be “an unstoppable musical powerhouse; its talent, rhythm, and soul continue to win hearts and take over the world’s most important stages.”
Among the standout nominees are rising artist Camila Guevara (Best New Artist), Isaac Delgado (Best Salsa Album) for Mira Como Vengo, and Orquesta Failde (Best Traditional Tropical Album) with Caminando Piango Piango. In the Best Latin Jazz/Jazz Album category, Cuba is represented by Luces y Sombras from the Iván Melon Lewis Trio.
Also competing are Bingo by Alain Pérez and Ilusión Óptica by Pedrito Martínez in the Best Contemporary Tropical Album category. In the Best Instrumental Album category, Cuban nominees include Alma en Cuba by Ariel Brínguez & Iván Melon Lewis and Havana Meets Harlem by the Harlem Quartet featuring Aldo López Gavilán.
The Cuban Institute of Music also congratulated other nominees from across Latin America and the Caribbean who will vie for one of the most prestigious honours in U.S., Latin American, and Caribbean music.
The Latin Recording Academy announced the full list of nominees for the 26th Annual Latin Grammy Awards this Wednesday. The ceremony will be held on November 13, 2025, at the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
