
Haila Mompié is undeniably one of the finest soneras of her generation; a Cuban singer widely considered to have one of the most powerful voices in Latin Music. Como No have announced that they will bring Mompié to the UK to perform a rare London show with her band at The Jazz Café on 25th June.
Mompié started out with the group Septeto Tradition in the early ‘90s, and later went on to tour the world as a part of the popular samba band Bamboleo. She wowed audiences with her voice and charisma and went on to forge a successful solo career performing with the likes of Cheo Feliciano, Oscar de León, Celia Cruz, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Chucho Valdés, Issac Delgado, David Calzado and Adalberto Álvarez. Mompié received a Latin Grammy nomination for her album La Rumba Soy Yo.
