Solidarity in Art

In the Spring of 2007 students from the Cardinal Wiseman School, Greenford, London, set off on a journey to Cuba on a cultural exchange with one of the most recognised and oldest art schools in Latin America, la Academia Nacional de Bellas Artes San Alejandro in Havana, Cuba.

Later in the year, the journey continues taking the Cuban students to London to rejoin their friends, visiting the city, galleries and museums, pointedly demonstrating they have transcended current political affairs to learn from each other, appreciating the benefits from the exchange of knowledge and experience with a different culture.

Rohan Tully, a young cineaste, follows this journey filming thses young highly talented individuals brilliantly capturing the understanding between the two cultures of completely different social, political and economic backgrounds.

The soundtrack features Ruben Gonzalez, Roberto Fonseca, Beethoven and Mozart.
