9 June 2018
Gerardo y Su Rumbache play authentic Cuban rumba. Formed by Cuban musician, Gerardo de Armas Sarria in 2011, this London based 5-piece, will charm you with yambú, guaguancó and if we're lucky, other Afro-Cuban genres: Palo, Abakuá and Yoruba traditional music.
The evening starts shortly after 8pm with a rumba class led by the infectious and talented Cuban dancer and teacher, Ariel Rios, who will get you in the mood to shake your stuff Cuban-style.
Ran Kan Kan conjure the foot-tapping music of the golden years of Cuban big bands, with funky rhythms, heart-stopping melodies and sophisticated mambos. This 24-piece Oxford based big band will bring you the very best of Cuban son montuno and some new tunes for you to dance to.
£10/£8 in advance. Tickets on the door will cost £12. This is a standing gig.
